Jeykll and Hyde

Miss Benyl A. Steel wrote to David Grayson in November of 1915 alarmed about a rumor she had heard that Grayson was also Ray Stannard Baker. She begged that if it was true and he was playing a "Dr. Jeykll and Mr. Hyde game" that he "plese end up as David Grayson."

She goes on to say that she loves all of Grayson's work and concludes the letter thanking Grayson "for the pleasure- and the real, vital help-which you have given me."

As rumors of Grayson's other identity were slipping out into the world. Fans grew weary that they would loose Grayson, a man they considered a friend.
