To Mr David Blodget Constable of Amherst: Greeting
In the name of the authority of the people of the Massachusetts State you are hereby required forthwith to warn all the freeholders and other inhabitants in Amherst north of Pelham Road qualified to vote in Town Meeting for Representative that they assemble and meet at the meeting house in Amherst at one of the clock in the afternoon on the thirteenth day of May 1778 to act on the following articles viz.
1st To choose a moderator
2nd To elect or depute some person or persons to represent the town of Amherst in the General Court
3rd To consider the late order for raising men for the Continental Service and make some order relating to the same
4th To take into consideration the Constitution or form of government lately sent to the Selectmen and make such vote upon it as shall be thought proper
Hereof fail not and make return of this warrant with your doings thereon to some one of us before the time of said meeting
